Symptoms
Mo deficiency symptoms are similar to N deficiency: Mature leaves become evenly chlorotic and may show necrotic spots later on.

Reasons
Molybdenum deficiency. Molybdenum and Manganese deficiencies are rare. Copper, Iron and Manganese may hinder plant Molybdenum uptake.

Molybdenum deficiency made worse by

  • Acid soils
  • Low pH
  • Low levels of soil organic matter

Molybdenum is important for

  • Optimal pollen formation
  • Better nitrogen utilisation
  • Improved yield
